Friends,

Are you interested in more sidewalks and street lighting in your neighborhood? Do you have an idea for a new program that would help kids at our Youth and Family Development Centers? Would you like to share ways we can create more opportunities for more families in Chattanooga?

The City of Chattanooga utilizes a collaborative, citizen-driven method called “Budgeting For Outcomes,” which aims to make the most efficient and effective use of every taxpayer dollar. The FY20 budget will again focus on delivering results in five priority areas: High Performing Government, Growing Economy, Stronger Neighborhoods, Safer Streets, and Smarter Students & Stronger Families.

As we begin the process of creating its Fiscal Year 2020 budget, we want to hear from Chattanoogans. The City will host three public input sessions around the city to reach citizens in all of Chattanooga’s City Council districts. This process allows for direct, significant input from the community on what they want the city to fund for the upcoming year. If you want to make your voice heard in this process, RSVP to the input session in your council district.
