This offer is a bit confusing, are they seeking funds to help purchase an old city building or to run City programs/ services? Wouldn’t it make more sense to just gift them the building assuning the City owns it? Is this request part of their capital campaign? This project appears to be misplaced here. External not internal operations. This sounds more like operations than capital. Good initiative however, would like to see other partners included. Are there 2 building rehabs or just 1? Good specifics. What exactly will the money be spent on? Part of the project summary indicates “remodel and enhance infrastructure” and another part says “staffing and programming” for the center. In my experience there’s not much you can do to infrastructure for $100K. Please specify exactly what is expected to be purchased with this amount of funding.
